Introduction to Xilingol Tourism

Xilingol league, one of the four famous and largest fine grassland in the
world, is located in the middle of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the
due north of China. It is bordered by Republic of Mongolia to the north with
the border line of 1095 kilometers,being neighboured by Zhangjiakou and
Chengde of Hebei province in the south, and Chifeng city, Tongliao city,
and Xing'an Leagie in the east, linked with Wulanchabu League in the west.
It covers an area of 200,000sq.km with the total population of 920,000.It is
the major Mongolian inhabited region with 21 other minorities.
Xilingol league has the only one national grassland nature reserve listed
in the world biosphere. Entering China, following the steps of the famous
tourist Marco Polo in the 13th century, cutting through the pasture land,
you could find the remains of Xanadu, the world-renown capital of Yuan Dynasty,
the ruins of ancient Great Wall, the elegant Hongol Rock pictuer, Beizi Temple,
the famous "home of dinosaur fossil" Tongol Basin, which reflect the
intelligence of minority people and the splendid ancient civilization.
Tourists may also take a great varilety of special tours including
horse-riding, camel-riding,getting on lele-cart, herding, hunting, paying
sacrifice to Aobao, Nadamu, honey-moon tour, archaeological tour, koumiss
festival, Mongolian costume festival, automobile and cycle rally. Special
line tours include tour of following the steps of Marco Polo, Ujimuqin
grassland tour, the eco-tour of Baiyinxile Nature Reserve, the trade and
border tour in Erenhot and Republic of Mongolia. The excellent services can be supplied for the tourists to enjoy the natural scenery and intriguing custom.
